planning my trip vacation journey scheduling

#1 When do I book?

The sooner, the better! Flight tickets tend to vary, but in most cases, it's best to purchase tickets 3-6 months in advance when flying to Europe in the summer.

#2 Where am I going?

Camp Château is located at Le Château, 46100 Béduer, France

One of our favorite tools for checking options for where to fly or how to connect with trains is www.rome2rio.com. On this website, you can find the best route with price estimations. This way, you can compare connections to all the nearby airports and stations.

Arriving at camp chateau

#3 How do I get from the train station or airport to Camp Château?

You have three main options:

  1. Rent a car: We have free parking available at Camp Château. Click here for Toulouse car rental info.

  2. Take advantage of our free pick-ups: We provide complimentary pick-ups from nearby train stations, including Figeac, Assier, and Capdenac.

  3. Use our shuttle service: We organize shuttles to pick up campers from Toulouse Airport, Rodez Airport, and Cahors Train Station. Prices for a shared 6-person van are likely to be between €90-€140 per person each way.

For guests who arrive prior to the 3 pm check-in, we can hold their bags on-site and drop them off in the nearby town of Figeac. After 3 pm we will pick up the early campers with the rest of the campers and begin check-in.

For guests who are leaving after 11 am, we ask that they vacate their rooms and are welcome to wait on the grounds or in Figeac for their shuttle. The pool, food, and drink service on-site will stop at 11 am.

#4 How do I compare flight costs?

For comparing flight costs, we recommend using www.kayak.com and www.skyscanner.com. Both websites compare prices from different websites, ensuring you find the best deals. On both websites, you can:

  • Check the best times to fly

  • See price trends and decide the best time to buy

  • Select "and nearby airports" to compare different journeys

#5 How do I arrange a pick-up?

If you need a pick-up, contact us as soon as you know your travel information. We will then arrange for a counselor to meet you at any station or airport. Send us an email at info@campchateau.com.

#6 I'm traveling in Europe before/after camp. Does anything change?

Not at all! If you're planning a little vacation before or after your stay at Camp Château, we don't blame you - France is full of magical delights. We will send another email blast with fun ideas within our Quercy region. Spoiler alert: have you ever seen cave drawings in person?
