Our Mission

The thoughtfulness, people, and intention behind Camp Chateau really influenced my decision to become a founder. To be a part of and influence an experience created, designed, and owned by and for women, with the purpose of creating inclusive, fun, and empowering spaces to recharge and connect really resonates with me.

I’m so looking forward to experiencing France for the first time with my friends, meeting new people, and forming new relationships that hopefully last a lifetime, while taking in all the beauty of the country and…… the wine!

Becoming a Founder of Camp Chateau was a unique opportunity to support a women-owned business venture that provided returns not only financially but in myriad important ways to me: adventure, personal growth, soulfulness, imagination, travel. It underscored and brought to life, my belief in the talent and power of women working together.

I am so excited to invest in such a beautiful property. More importantly, I see this as an investment in my well-being. The opportunity to expand my knowledge, learn new skills, and meeting like-minded women who are passionate about life is why I have chosen to be a part of this opportunity.

I wanted to be part of creating a place of nurturing, restoration, and growth. I am most looking forward to the camaraderie of a group of wonderful women, in a relaxing setting, seeing old friends and making new ones.

I became a founder to enjoy the beautiful countryside and meet great women. Also, I look forward to exploring and learning about the history of the area as well as taking advantage of all of the activities the Chateau has to offer.

I decided to become a founder too because I have faith in Philippa, am excited to empower women, and so I may get to know another part of France!

I’m looking forward to relaxing, and enjoying the experience while embracing my inner-child, learning a new skill(s) and connecting with other women. Investing in a women founded start-up in a castle in the French countryside was too good of an opportunity to pass up!

Traveling is my passion. I travel around the world for adventures, connection and memories. The idea of women summer camp is fascinating - women from around the world will get to celebrate their authentic self and experience the power of community and connections.

I’m looking forward to…expanding my network; fulfilling a long-awaited desire to visit the south of France; and hiking and kayaking in the countryside to truly experience the quiet beauty of the region. I have made this trip a priority for 2023 and I am greatly looking forward to some 'me' time.

I was so blown away by the concept and the presentation that I asked to join the first founder's call. The decision to invest was a 'no brainer' The buy-in options are structured so you can easily find a level that suits your investment comfort level.

I was inspired to be a founder of Camp Chateau because it gave me the opportunity to invest in a women-founded business, while simultaneously supporting the amazing concept to bring women together for such unique experiences in a simply beautiful place. Women tend to underinvest in their own well-being, so the idea of going away to adult camp with other women is just the way to make that investment. I had to be a part of it and see it grow. Oh, and, France is just the place!

To be a founder, this sounds like a great business investment. In addition, this is a great opportunity to meet and make a network of diversified people.

I’ve lived and traveled in many countries and have an affinity with France. Having known Philippa professionally, I welcomed the opportunity to become part of the co-founder team of such an historic and picturesque chateau.

I am looking forward to spending time with all of the other founders in a fun and relaxing environment. I was told there would be wine too ;)

I was excited to get involved in an endeavor with Philippa, in who I have full confidence. I also liked the terms of the investment, and feel that the chateau is just gorgeous and will be a tremendous success.

I love the idea of enabling the opportunity for busy women to spend time in the company of other women who love adventure - and in the most stunning surroundings. The Chateau is a truly unique location in a country that is love (I am part French!). Hosting a Camp in this dreamy venue offers an escape from the routine of everyday busy work and home life that is really hard to find. I’m not even sure it exists other than here!

I am excited about supporting this new women-owned and funded business. This investment and becoming a Founding Member, allows me to invest in myself, embrace the freedom of retirement, and enjoy an annual retreat for women in France.

Initially, I was signing up for camp to escape with other women for rest and relaxation. Then I discovered I could financially support this venture as a Founding Member, which was more meaningful for me.

After spending over 20 years myself in the banking industry, your story about being a senior bank executive who then cofounded Camp Chateau to be owned and run by women resonated so much with me. Also, support for women founders is a very big priority for me as I look at how I allocate my investment dollars and my energy too. Having the opportunity to spend a week in a French chateau with fellow women founders just sealed the deal.

How could I not? The opportunity to be a part of such a beautiful endeavor that supports a community for women is an honor.

I love the idea of a beautiful whole-person space in France with a community of supportive and interesting women and am in awe of Philippa's courage in realizing this vision in the world.

I consider this a unique opportunity to be a part of a creative, spirited endeavor for women/by women, and I'm honored to be a on the team supporting a dream to fruition.

My sister told me all about Camp Chateau and it sounded like a great opportunity to spend a week in France each year, having the adventure that I make of it.

One of my retirement plans is to open a retreat for busy professionals to escape to. When I saw this camp post by Philippa, I was immediately drawn to it. Here was a chance to see firsthand how to do it! Not only would it be a wonderful opportunity for me to get away as a busy professional, but also helping in a small way to launch a women-owned business for the benefit of women was too good to pass up. I love traveling, and this camp sounds like paradise, so, let’s go!

The appeal of being able to come to summer camp every year was far too great to resist! I love the fact I'll be able to come every year, and enjoy everything Camp Chateau has to offer. I've invested in stocks and shares before, but this is the first time I've felt such real, genuine excitement and enthusiasm about a business I've invested in, which I think speaks volumes. The founding principles are wonderful, Camp Chateau has a real 'mission' behind it.

I became a Founding Member of Camp Chateau to be a part of a company created and funded by women for women to connect with one another in a unique way. Bringing a summer camp to a chateau in France for women to attend is brilliant and combines many of my interests that I'm thrilled to be involved in.

A castle timeshare in the south of France?! I literally couldn't stop thinking about the idea once I found it! I even talked my best friend into investing too :). Can't wait!

A few years ago, I took a class on developing a personal mission statement and mine turned out to be “To inspire joy in others”. That really resonated with me. Becoming a Founding Member of Camp Chateau helps me fulfill my life’s mission!

I am passionate about the power of connection and Camp Chateau is the perfect place to bring women together to play, connect, let go of our daily routines and indulge our “silly-side”!

I've worked with startups and founders for the past ten years. Supporting this wonderful campk built by women, for women, is aligned with my values and I am excited to build meaningful connections and community through membership.

An all woman camp ground/chateau where we can all learn from each other, support each other and spend time on ourselves mentally and physically just makes so much sense. In the ever so chaotic world around us now, this is something that I'm passionate about and am so happy to have the chance to be part of this journey. Becoming a founding member, experiencing camp and Philippa’s dream becoming a reality has been amazing. Camp Chateau is an inclusive, positive and joyful space filled with women supporting women while experiencing the beautiful French countryside. It is a magical place to just be and reconnect with yourself and others.

A grown up summer camp cut from the cloth of my dreams? Is this real life? Since January my husband and I have been making the necessary preparations to make a permanent move to the South of France because we've fallen in love with the rich history and culture and when I saw this concept, I had to be involved immediately.

I love to travel and the chance to combine my passion for travel with my passion for supporting women was very appealing. I jumped at the chance to be part of a women owned, women run company and I am so glad that I took that leap because after my first visit I was hooked. The annual pilgrimage to summer camp where friends convene is a haven and something I will look forward to each year.

I am excited to be a founding member of Camp Chateau and am passionate about the camp's mission that allows women to show up as their true authentic selves, free from judgement. To be able to have this space in such a beautiful location and participate in activities that I enjoy while connecting with other women is icing on the cake!

My daughter, Sophey, so enjoyed camp last year with her friends that I could not stop myself from investing in the beautiful Camp Chateau. This will be for her, someday, and it sets the example for women supporting women – so voila!

I was so excited to learn about Camp Chateau. Something about it immediately struck me and reminded me of summer camp where I grew up in Maine. I love France and took many years of French in school and something about being part of this just spoke to me although I've never done anything like it before!

Everything about Camp Chateau cries out, "YES!" The only response I could think of was to become a founding member.

This effort is magical... in the design, the impact, and the way it includes women from all over the world *just as they are*. Giving women a way to retreat from their daily lives, connect with other like-minded women, and rejuvenate all at once is one of the most worthwhile and impressive of endeavors. I'm thrilled to support and participate!

Women are constantly asked to do more, be more, overperform, and overdeliver as a matter of course. I fell in love with the idea of a place where we can do less, where someone else is carrying the mental load, where we can take a break from relational responsibilities and simply be with ourselves, focused on wellbeing and joy. 

I align with the mission and values of the organization, which prioritizes supporting and uplifting women. I wanted to be part of something meaningful that creates positive change in the world and is in line with my life purpose. Camp Chateau is a soulful place that isn't only defined by grand architecture or breathtaking vistas. It's a space that resonates with a deeper, more intangible quality. It's a place where the spirit feels at ease, where time seems to slow, and where a sense of connection to something larger than oneself emerges. Simply life changing!

I became a founding member because I wanted to support a women owned and women funded initiative geared towards rejuvenating the feminine spirit. What better way than an all-inclusive summer camp experience in a French Chateau?

I became a founder because I believe in Camp Chateau's mission! We need more spaces for women to flourish with other women, doing fun activities, rejuvenating, and connecting. I've always wanted to go to summer camp and now I get to, as an adult, surrounded by a trusting and nurturing environment. Even better, in France! It's unique and exciting and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. 

I became a Founding Member of Camp Chateau after a life-changing Chateau experience in 2024. The sense of community, empowerment, and connection I found there was truly transformative. Investing in Camp Chateau is part of my commitment to creating more spaces where women can come together, recharge, and inspire one another.

I'm privileged to spend my days surrounded by impressive women - many of whom are facing multiple challenges - who support, share, save, inspire and learn together.  What better way to honour them, myself and Philippa (who I've known for over 50 years - eek!) than to be part of the Camp Chateau community?
